It is VERY IMPORTANT that you:

  • Make sure your emergency contact information on file in the office is current and accurate so that we can reach you in the event of an emergency. If you need to make updates, the office at 530-846-5594.
  • Be sure to update the names of any persons whom you authorize to pick up your student. We will release students only to persons who are authorized by you and whose identity we can confirm.
  • Ensure you are connected to one or more of the current communication methods with our families:
    • Parent Square
    • District Website
    • School Facebook page

  • Please continue to monitor our district website for the most current School Information
  • Familiarize yourself with our District Safety PlanThis includes information related to a variety of emergency situations, including general evacuation procedures.
  • Should we ever be required to evacuate the general Gridley area while students are at school, you will be notified immediately that we have initiated our "Directed Transportation" Evacuation procedures.
  • Familiarize yourself with our out-of-area Evacuation Locations, routes and emergency contacts.
  • These pre-identified locations are of course subject to change depending on the situation.
  • The first notification will ask parents to pick their students up from school immediately.
  • Unless we recognize the parent, we will require a photo ID to release your student.
  • Students not picked up by parents will be loaded onto buses and/or staff personal vehicles and transported to the nearest safe location.
  • Parents will be notified of the specific evacuation location in order to reunite with their children there.
